Welcome to the World of Surfing
Surfers don’t just ride waves, We understand them. We observe swell patterns, wind direction, tides, and ocean moods before entering the water. Surfing teaches patience, awareness, and respect for nature, turning every session into an experience far beyond sport.
PADDLE
You drive your arms through the water, building momentum and matching the speed of the approaching wave.

POP UP
As the wave lifts you, you spring to your feet in one timed motion, transitioning from paddling to standing.

RIDE THE WAVE
Now balanced on the board, you glide along the wave’s energy, steering and flowing with its movement until the ride ends.

Do I need to know swimming to learn surfing?
Basic swimming skills are recommended, but not mandatory at all surf schools. In beginner lessons, you’ll mostly practice in waist- or chest-deep water with instructors by your side. Still, being comfortable in the water definitely helps you progress faster.
How long will it take me to stand up on a surfboard?
Most people can stand up and ride small waves on their first or Second day at Max. Mastery, however, takes time – It’s all about practice, patience, and enjoying the process.
Can I learn surfing in 3 days?
In three days, you can learn the basics like paddling, popping up, and riding beginner waves. To become confident catching waves on your own, we recommend around five days of practice.
Is surfing safe in India for beginners?
Yes. Beginner sessions take place in shallow water close to the shore where waves are small and manageable. Surfing injuries are rare and usually limited to minor bruises. All GoCareless partner surf schools carry first aid kits on the beach during sessions.

What’s the best season for surfing in India?
Monsoon is the only real off-season.
West Coast: June, July, August – not ideal.
East Coast: September–October – limited surf.
How fit do I need to be to start surfing?
You don’t need to be an athlete; surfing is beginner-friendly. A reasonable level of stamina and balance helps, but most fitness improves naturally as you practice more in the water.
Can I surf during my period?
Yes. Absolutely. Use a tampon or menstrual cup.
Stay hydrated & listen to your body.
Can I work from home while learning surfing?
Yes. Surf lessons usually last just 2–3 hours in the morning or evening, leaving you the rest of the day free.
What if I wear glasses? Can I still surf?
Yes, you can still surf. If your power is mild, most people are comfortable surfing without glasses. Alternatively, you can use prescription swimming goggles for clearer vision in the water.
