How to Catch Waves Without Paddles: The Positioning Secret

In surfing, positioning matters more than anything.

Not technique. Not board design. Positioning.

Where Should You Be Positioned?

You gotta be very near the peak of the wave — the part where it starts breaking.

That's where the wave has the most energy.

Once you're in the right position, you can catch a wave with:

  • Zero paddles
  • One paddle
  • Two paddles

It all depends on how much energy you've already got from the wave itself.

What If You're Away From The Peak?

If you're positioned a little away from the peak and still want to catch that wave, the game changes.

You need different strategies.

Comment "PEAK" and I'll create a detailed blog on how to catch waves when you're not positioned perfectly at the peak.

Because positioning is everything — and once you master it, you stop fighting the ocean and start flowing with it. 🏄
