- No. Beginner lessons are designed for complete first-timers. Instructors will teach you everything from balance and stopping to making your first turns.
- Most people can learn the basics and start making controlled descents within 3–5 days. Confidence and control improve quickly with regular practice.
- Skiing is generally easier to pick up in the first few days, while snowboarding has a steeper learning curve initially but becomes very intuitive once you understand edge control.
- A moderate level of fitness is enough. Strong legs and good balance help, but you do not need to be an athlete to enjoy skiing or snowboarding.
- Yes. Beginners start on gentle slopes under instructor supervision and learn how to stop, turn, and control their speed before progressing to more challenging terrain.
- Most likely, yes. Falling is a normal part of learning, and instructors will teach you how to fall safely and get back up efficiently.
- Check the "What to carry" section above. Other gear like Skis, boots, helmets, and snowboards are usually provided by our partners.
- Regular winter clothes may keep you warm, but they are often not waterproof. Ski jackets, ski pants, and waterproof gloves are strongly recommended.
- Skiing and snowboarding can be learned at almost any age. Children, adults, and older travelers regularly take beginner lessons.
- A 5–7 day trip is ideal. It gives you enough time to learn the basics, gain confidence, and enjoy the mountains without feeling rushed.
- Ski resorts operate in a variety of weather conditions, including snowfall. However, lessons and lift operations may be adjusted if conditions become unsafe.
