- No. Beginner courses are designed for complete first-timers. You'll learn paddle control, river safety, and kayak handling from the ground up.
- Basic swimming ability is recommended. You'll always wear a life jacket, but being comfortable in water helps build confidence on the river.
- Yes. Beginners start on calm sections of the river and easy rapids under instructor supervision. Safety techniques and rescue procedures are taught before progressing.
- Rapids are graded based on difficulty. Class I is easy moving water, while Class IV involves more technical lines, stronger currents, and requires advanced skills.
- It requires moderate fitness, especially for paddling and maneuvering the kayak. Good endurance and upper-body strength help, but beginners can start without being highly athletic.
- Possibly, and that's completely normal. You'll learn how to perform a safe wet exit and what to do if your kayak capsizes.
- Wear quick-dry clothes, swimwear, secure water shoes, and avoid cotton. You'll get wet, so dress accordingly.
- Most operators provide the kayak, paddle, helmet, life jacket (PFD), and other required safety equipment.
- Most people become comfortable on easy rapids within a few days. Consistent practice over 7–10 days can help you confidently navigate Class II–III rapids.
- Safety always comes first. Instructors may modify the route, move to a different section of the river, or postpone the activity if conditions are unsuitable.
- Yes. A 5–10 day course is enough to learn the fundamentals, build confidence in moving water, and begin navigating rapids safely under guidance.
